Stephen Broekhuizen
Steve has worked in and around films for close on 20 years now, in America, Canada and Ireland.
Having graduated from University in America he spent the better part of the earl 00’s into 2010’s between America and Canada.
He has been involved in many short films, music videos, corporate videos, documentaries and several feature films.
In 2016 he along with Emmet, Phil and Adam set up deeper productions who have continued to create films, music videos, feature films and all manner of corporate videos for the past 8 years.
Along with Deep Red Steve is very committed to trying to help up and coming film makers especially in the Cork region. Deep red has also done a lot of videos and events for local charities in the cork area and that helping the community we live in is something that is very important.
Steve teaches across several subjects on the film course at Douglas Street campus and is also a full voting member of IFTA.
Outside of film and teaching he is on the committee of Killeen Celtic and coaches both the under 13s and under 10s.

Emmet O'Brien
Emmet O'Brien is a writer and Director from Cork City, Ireland.
As a member of Deep Red he has made 16 short films to date including short animation entitled "Family Tree" which has received several awards including Best Cork Film at the IndieCork Festival 2020 and has been showcased in 50+ Festivals thus far.
He collaborated with Disney Animator Robb Pratt on the well received fan film "Flash Gordon Classic."
He also worked in concept generation and production for the video of huge international hit “Take me to Church” by Irish musician Hozier. The video enjoyed tremendous success and was nominated for an MTV video award.
He is a festival programmer for genre Film Festival Spook Screen and his work in Film Criticism led to a number of articles for Film Ireland reviewing films and covering festivals. He was their featured reviewer for the Sundance UK event and did cover interviews with Brendan Gleeson and John Michael McDonagh. His insights on films has seen him featured on national radio being a critic for both Radio 1 and 2FM.

​Recently he has been working as an AD on an upcoming children's TV show for TG4

David Gould
David Gould worked as a projectionist in Douglas Cinema from 2003 to 2019. He worked with 35mm film and oversaw the transition to digital projection.
David attended Cork College of FET Douglas Street Film and TV Production course and graduated in 2022.
He has made two short films of his own, “BEYOND”, which premiered in The Peoples Picture House and then went on to screen in Bera Film Festival and IndieFest Cork.
His second short film “Mary Wallops Richard” has screened at The People’s Picturehouse also. He has acted in the short films “Plight of a Pintman” and” Two’s Plenty”
He has worked on various Deep Red productions, most notably as 1AD on their feature A Hell of a Difference.
He currently works at Cork College of FET helping the students on the film course.
