Nicole DeLarge
 

Nicole DeLarge is a Portuguese filmmaker based in Ireland for the past 4 years. She completed her degree in Cinema and Audiovisuals at Escola Superior Artística do Porto and then a masters degree in Film and Screen Media at University College Cork. Before landing in film, Nicole studied Classical Music for 6 years, Urban Dance for another 3, and completed a 3 year Diploma Course in Graphic Design. Her first short-film as a writer/director “Coma” was screened at Kinoproba Film Festival 2019, in Russia and her 4th and longest short-film “Verdes Águas” was co-funded by the Portuguese Film Institute.

She also did a few industry jobs, both in Portugal and Ireland, like Camera Assistant for the feature-film "Armários Vazios" by Cristina Carvalhal, produced by Ukbar Films, RTP, Pandora Films and Krakow Film Klaster.

In the past few years, Nicole has dedicated herself to Graphic Design work again, starting by doing the posters for the Cork Music Label “Fuzzy Pockets” to our own Out Of Frame posters. Her most recent project, LIGHTER, focuses on organising concerts in Cork City and helping bands create their logos, posters and music videos. The music video “Further Down the Channel” by The Guilteens it’s her most recent work, released only a week ago.

Ruben Tapia
 

Ruben Tapia is a filmmaker from Mexico, based in Cork Ireland for the last 4 years.

He holds a degree in Audiovisual Media Production from Autonomous University of Baja California and a Master’s degree in Film and Screen Media from University College Cork.

 

For the last 10 years, he has been collaborating and working in different areas such as Assistant Production for Find a Story Entertainment, TV Assistant Production for a Local Art , Production Assistant for a Broadcast TV Channel called Televisa from Mexico.

 

In 2016 he started exploring the art of camera work for the local government performing as a filmmaker until 2019 where he worked as well for the Drugs Traffic Department for the police in Mexico.

 

From 2020 until 2023, in Cork, Ireland, he collaborated with some local productions (Epic Films and Twistedcork Vision and GrowPro Experience) working alongside in corporate, institutional , travel  and music videos.

 

In 2022 after finishing his master;s degree, he started working with University College Cork in the Audiovisual Media Department creating educational and Institutional video content for UCC having the opportunity to portray the President of Ireland Michael D. Higgins and the actor Jared Harris among others as the Taoiseach of Ireland.

 

In December  2023 his first collaboration happened for a feature film with Morgan Bros in Galway performing as a Runner for the Camera Crew where he learned the dynamics and workflow of a large scale crew on set.

 

At the moment he is exploring tech tools such as Unreal Engine and Real Time Rendering that are applied in Virtual Production.

Benjamin Rupprecht
 

Benjamin is a filmmaker from Munich, Germany, since 2021 based and working in Cork City. Before and after he graduated his MA in Film and Screen Media at University College Cork, he worked in the German and Irish film industry, with his main focus on assistant directing. He holds a BA in Theatre and Media Studies and History. Ben has written, directed and produced several non-budget fiction, documentary and experimental short films and music videos. He has been involved in different festival and theatre productions and is always interested in possibilities for inter-media projects between film and physical performance art. He started and is running Cork’s monthly film talk Out of Frame and is the founder and festival director of the queer focused film festival PRISMA in Cork. He is the current secretary in the committee of The People’s Picturehouse, the monthly short film screening in the Pav and is the co-chair of the new Screen Cork initiative, promoting Cork’s film scene. A main focus of his work is trying to contribute further to a collective European cultural narrative and advocating for more diversity in and through film.
